Il Palato Italiano at Royal Automobile Club

The prestigious Royal Automobile Club chose Il Palato Italiano to be the protagonist of a four-day Italian cuisine event in the Club’s London headquarters. Founded in 1897, it was one of the first clubs in the world with access reserved to members.

The Club wished to celebrate with a unique event the reopening of the Great Gallery, its most important hall, following its recent restoration. Hence the invitation issued to Il Palato Italiano: its cuisine will delight Club Members, starting with the lunch on March 9th and ending with the gala dinner scheduled for March 12th.
As Chef Filippo Sinisgalli points out:

It’s an honour for us and we are proud to be so esteemed around the world. I leave it to others to talk of my own cuisine; I would rather highlight the fact that everyone’s commitment and ceaseless search for raw materials of the most excellent quality give us the motivation and strength to continue to explore our immense agri-food heritage. Knowing each one of the producers and their techniques, and listening to stories about small family secrets and ancient traditions makes us grow together and walk side by side.

Before landing in London, Il Palato Italiano travelled overseas for a long series of events which began on February 20th and ended on March 3rd. The Executive Chef and the Sommelier, together with the whole Kitchen Brigade, flew out first to New York and then to Los Angeles to bring the more intimate version of the concept described above: Italy Out of Italy -Your Private Food Experience, that is, cooking in the homes of people requesting our services, in this case star actors and celebrities.
